Jordanoleiopus monoxenus, an Afrotropical species known from East Africa (which was recently discovered in Oman [✧]), has been described from Usambara Mts. (Tanzania) as Lepturges monoxenus by Hermann Julius Kolbe in 1893 [▽].

Body length:4.5 - 5 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:September - November
Host plant:polyphagous on broadleaf trees and shrubs
Distribution:Oman and East Africa


The depicted beetle was reared from larva found in Croton sp. 6 km W Dhalqut (N16°41′56″ E53°11′29″; 450 m a.s.l., Jebel Al-Qamar range, Dhofar Governorate, Oman) on January 21-22, 2018.
