According to M.Rejzek et al. [❖] and M.Rejzek et al. [✧] in Syria Anchusa italica (Boraginaceae) serves as host plant of Oxylia argentata (Ménétriés, 1832) and Phytoecia (Paracoptosia) compacta sancta (Reiche, 1877).
