Calchaenesthes diversicollis, a rare species known from Iran, Iraq and Turkey, was originally described by Carolus Holzschuh in 1977 [▽] as a subspecies of Calchaenesthes oblongomaculata. To the species rank has been elevated by the same author in 2003 [✧].
