Chlorophorus golestanicus, an endemic species to Iran, has been described from Nothern Iran (Golestan, Mazandaran, Gilan provinces) by Jiří Voříšek in 2012 [❖].

The depicted beetle was collected on blossoming Christ's thorn (Paliurus spina-christi) in Terjenli village environs (407 m a.s.l, Golestan province, Iran) on May 22-23, 2019.
