Dorcadion gashtarovi, species described by Gianfranco Sama, Maria-Magdalena Dascălu and Carlo Pesarini in 2010 [❖], is known from several localities in Romania and Bulgaria along the coast of the Black Sea, in the historic region of Dobruja. This interesting beetle belongs to the Dorcadion divisum species group.
Body length: ♂♂ 11.5 - 13.8 mm / ♀♀ 12.2 - 14.5 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: April - June Host plant: roots of herbaceous plants and grass Distribution: Romania, Bulgaria
