Dorcadion pantherinum, an endemic species to Kazakhstan, has been decribed from Kazaly environs (Kazakhstan) by Vasiliy Ewgrafowitsch Jakovlev in 1899 [✱]. The nominotypical subspecies, D. pantherinum pantherinum, occurs in the southern part of Betpak-Dala desert (Chulak-Espe) and sands to the south of the western part of Balkhash Lake (Aksuek).
Body length: 18 - 21 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: April - May Host plant: larvae feed on roots of various grass species (Poaceae) Distribution: an endemic species to Kazakhstan
