Dorcadion suvorovi, an endemic species to South-East Kazakhstan, has been decribed from Jarkent (Жаркент) environs (Kazakhstan) by Vasiliy Ewgrafowitsch Jakovlev in 1906 [❖].
The nominotypical subspecies, D. suvorovi suvorovi, occurs in middle level of Usek river valley in Dzungarian Alatau mountain range. The adults are
very numerous on grassland terraces along right bank of the river. D. suvorovi suvorovi larvae feed on roots of various grass species (Poaceae) [✯][✳].
