Neodorcadion laqueatum, a species occuring in Southeastern Bulgaria, Turkish Thrace and Northwestern Anatolia, has been described as Dorcadion laqueatum from Turkey by Joseph Waltl in 1838 [❖].

Body length:	12 - 15 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	April - June
Host plant:	roots of herbaceous plants and grasses
Distribution:	Southeastern Bulgaria, Turkish Thrace, Northwestern Anatolia

The depicted beetle was collected in Tavşanlı environs (Gebze district, Kocaeli province, Marmara region, Turkey) on April 19, 1997.
