This endemic Cretan Parmena species, belonging to Parmena pubescens group, was described by Gianfranco Sama in 1986 [❖]. Taxon was included into a newly estabilihed subgenus Pilosoparmena by Maxim A. Lazarev in 2024 [✮].
Body length: 6 - 9 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: April - August Host plant: Euphorbia, Astragalus, Nerium oleander Distribution: endemic species to Crete
The depicted beetles were collected at night on Euphorbia wulfenii in Theriso gorge (322 m a.s.l., Chania region, Crete, Greece) on June 25, 2018.Collected by David Navrátil
