Pilemia (Pilemia) breverufonotata has been described from Bursa environs (Turkey) as Phytœcia (Pilemia) tigrina v. breverufonotata by Maurice Pic in 1952 [✧], and again,
from Çamliyayla environs (Turkey) as Phytoecia (Pilemia) maculifera by Carolus Holzschuh in 1984 [★]. This endemic species of Turkey develops in a still undetermined plant
from Boraginaceae family [❖].
