Phytoecia flavipes, an endemic species to Morocco, has been described as Saperda flavipes from Tanger environs (Morocco) by Johann Christian Fabricius in 1801 [❖].

The depicted beetle was collected in Ait Sebaa Lajrouf environs (1043 m a.s.l., N Imouzzer-du-Kandar, Sefrou province, Fès-Meknès region, Morocco) on May 5, 2011.
