Phytoecia minuta, a rare species known from Turkey and Jordan, has been described from South Anatolia (Hatay province, Turkey) by Maurice Pic in 1891 [▽]. Mikhail Danilevsky included this species in the newly established Phytoecia-subgenus Paracoptosia in 2017 [❖].
