Purpuricenus dalmatinus, a beautiful and widespread East-Mediterranean faunistic element, has been described from Dalmatia (Croatia) by Jacob Sturm in 1843 [▽].

Host plant:oaks (Quercus spp.)
Distribution:Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Slovenia, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon
