Stenocorus minutus, a species occuring in China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia (West Siberia) and Uzbekistan, has been described from
Zaisan Lake environs (Kazakhstan) as Toxotus minutus by Friedrich August Gebler in 1841 [▽].
The larval biology is unknown, but mass abundance of adults in mountain meadows with a complete absence of trees and shrubs suggest
a connection between the larvae and the roots of herbaceous plants. The pupation must occur in spring. Adults, active in June-July
(with the peak in the first half of June) are diurnal and anthophilous [❖][✮].
