Vadonia instigmata, an unmistakable and massive Irano-Anatolian Vadonia species, has been described from Bitlis (Turkey) as Vadonia bitliensis var. instigmata by Maurice Pic in 1889 [▽]. V. instigmata was considered to be endemic to Turkey for a long time, but it also occurs in Iran [✧].
