Agapanthia coeruleipennis, an interesting Turano-Iranian species occuring in Armenia, Iran, Syria and Turkey, has been described from "Asia Minor" by Johann Frivaldszky in 1878 [✮]. Gundelia tournefortii Linnaeus (Asteraceae) has been reported [❖] as the host of this species.

The depicted beetles were collected on Gundelia tournefortii in summit plateaus of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey) on June 11, 2011.
