Anoplistes forticornis, a species occuring in Central Asia, has been described from "Turkestan: Aulie-Ata" (now Taraz, Kazakhstan) by Edmund Reitter in 1901 [▽].

The depicted female beetle was collected 14 km ENE Kentau (581 m a.s.l., Khantagi river, Karatau Mts., Turkistan region, Kazakhstan) on May 15-16, 2016.
