Clytus schneideri, a species occuring in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel and NE Turkey, has been described from Borjomi (Georgia) environs by Ernest August Hellmuth von Kiesenwetter in 1879 [✧].

The depicted beetle was collected 4 km SWW of Çeltikdüzü village (N40°53′58″ E41°26′40″; 750 m a.s.l., Yusufeli district, Artvin province, Turkey) on June 18, 2014.
