Crossotus arabicus, a species distributed in Arabian Peninsula, has been described from Lahej (Yemen) by Charles Joseph Gahan in 1896 [▽].

Body length:14 - 16 mm
Life cycle:2 - 3 years
Adults in:May - October [?]
Host plant:Vachellia spp. (= former Acacia)
Distribution:Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen [❖]


Depicted mounted beetle was reared from larva found in Vachellia branch collected in Jabal al Fatk (191 m a.s.l., Hawf NE Al Ghaydah, Yemen) on April 2, 2007. The living beetle was reared from larva found in Oman in 2020.
