Dissopachys pulvinata, a rare and not well known Cerambycid distributed in Iran, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, has been described from Turkmenistan by Edmund Reitter in 1886 [▽].

Body length:20 - 35 mm
Life cycle:2 - 3 years
Adults in:June - July
Host plant:Prunus spp.
Distribution:Iran, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan


The depicted mounted specimens were collected in: ♂ - 10 km south of Chālūs (N36°34′ E51°22′; 250-400 m a.s.l., Chālūs county, Mazandaran province, North Iran) on June 21-23, 2000; ♀ - Zānūs (زانوس) environs (N36°19′ E51°32′; 1730 m a.s.l., Kojur District, Nowshahr County, Mazandaran province, North Iran) on May 21, 2017. The living female was reared from larva collected on Prunus in Golestan forest 45 km NE Minudast (Khorasan province, North Iran) together with adults.
