Eastern part of Zhetyzhel Ridge, was described as Dorcadion (Dorcadion) globithorax kastekus by Mikhail Danilevsky in 1996 [✧]. Taxon was
elevated into species rank in 1999 [❖], also by Mikhail Danilevsky.
