Dorcadion macedonicum, an endemic rare species known only from Galičica (Mali i Thatë) mountain range in North Macedonia and Albania, has been described from Lake Ohrid environs by Štĕpán Jureček in 1929 [✧].

Body length:11 - 15 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:April - June
Host plant:roots of grasses (Poaceae)
Distribution:and endemic species to Galičica (Mali i Thatë) mountain range (North Macedonia, Albania)


The depicted beetles were photographed in on south slopes of Lako Signoǰ (Лако Сигној) mountain (1550-1850 m a.s.l., Galičica Mts., North Macedonia) on May 19, 2013.
