Dorcadion urmianum, a rare species known from North-West Iran and East Turkey, has been described from Lake Urmia environs (Iran) by Nikolai Plavilstshikov in 1937 [❖].

Adults in:April - June
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grass
Distribution:North-West Iran, East Turkey


The depicted male beetle was collected in Hakkâri environs (Hakkâri province, Turkey).
