Exocentrus pseudopunctipennis, a species occuring in Transcaucasia, Iran and Turkmenistan, has been described from Nowshahr environs (North Iran) by Carolus Holzschuh in 1979 [✧].

Body length:4.2 - 6.6 mm
Life cycle:1 - 2 years
Adults in:May - July
Host plant:polyphagous on deciduous trees (e.g. Tilia)
Distribution:Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Turkmenistan


The depicted beetle was collected 28 km SW Dedoplistskaro (დედოფლისწყარო; Kakheti region, Georgia) on May 25-26, 2016.
