Hologaster kabateki, an endemic species to Oman, has been described from Takwa environs (Oman) by Karl Adlbauer in 2007 [☆].

The depicted beetle was reared from larva found in Vachellia in Wadi Nashib (N17°03′18″ E54°19′53″; 13 m a.s.l., 6km NW Taqah, Dhofar Governorate, Oman) on January 17-18, 2018.
