Micromallosia heinzorum, a rare species endemic to Turkey, has been described from Yolçati village environs (Bingöl province) as Mallosia (Micromallosia) heinzorum by Carolus Holzschuh in 1991 [❖].

Body length:8 - 13 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:April - June
Host plant:unknown
Distribution:a species endemic to Turkey


The depicted male beetle was found on the ground in low vegetation in village Sakabaşı environs (40 km SW Elâzığ, Elâzığ province, Eastern Anatolia, Turkey) on May 26, 2001.
