Neodorcadion virleti, an endemic species to Greece, has been described as Dorcadion Virleti from "Morée" (Peloponnese) by Auguste Gaspard Brullé in 1832 [❖].

Body length:♂♂ 8.7 - 14.2 mm / ♀♀ 10.2 - 16.0 mm
Life cycle:1 year
Adults in:April - June
Host plant:roots of herbaceous plants and grasses
Distribution:an endemic species to Greece (Peloponnese, Ionian Islands, Epirus and Aetolia-Acamania)


The depicted beetles were collected in: ♂ Chrousa (Χρούσα) village environs (560 m a.s.l., Megalopolis, Arcadia, Peloponnese, Greece) on May 21, 2018; ♀ Mount Erymanthos - Kalentzi (Καλέντζι) village environs (Stavrodromi, Achaea, Peloponnese, Greece) on May 17, 2006.
