Phytoecia suworovi, a rare endemic East Anatolian species, has been described from "Caucase" as Phytoecia (Musaria) suworovi by Maurice Pic in 1905 [✩]. P. (N.) suworovi has been redescribed by Mikhail Danilevsky in detail in 2008 [✧]. According to Martin Rejzek et al. [❖] in Turkey Phytoecia (Neomusaria) suworovi develops in three different Salvia (Lamiaceae) species: [1], [2] and [3].
Body length: ♂♂ 9.1 - 11.6 mm / ♀♀ 8.5 - 13.4 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: May - July Host plant: several sage (Salvia sp.) species Distribution: a species endemic to Eastern Anatolia (Turkey; ✧)
