Parmena pontocircassica, a species distributed in Crimea, Caucasus, and Transcaucasia, has been described from Krasnodar Krai (Russia) by Mikhail L. Danilevsky and Alexander I. Miroshnikov in 1985 [▽].
Body length: 5 - 7.5 mm Life cycle: 1 - 2 years Adults in: all of year (the maximal activity in May - June) Host plant: polyphagous in deciduous trees, also in conifers (Abies, Pinus) Distribution: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia - South European Territory, Turkey, Ukraine
Depicted mounted beetles were reared from larvae collected in: ♂ ex larva in Suchumi environs (South Caucasus, Abchazia) in 1999; ♀ ex larva (Pinus sp.) in Norio (ნორიო) village environs (972 m a.s.l., Gardabani district, Kvemo Kartli, Georgia) on May 9, 2015.Collected by K.
