Phytoecia shokhini, a rare endemic species to Eastern Turkey known from Tunceli environs only, has been described from Munzur Valley National Park (Munzur Vadisi Milli Parkı) by Denis Kasatkin in 2010 [▽].

The depicted beetle was collected in Munzur Valley (1000-1700 m a.s.l., Tunceli environs, Tunceli province, Turkey) on May 21-22, 2013.
