This striking species of Callichromatini tribe, distributed from the Korean peninsula through Northern China and Mongolia to the Eastern part of the Russian Federation, was described by Johann Christian Fabricius as Saperda fasciata as early as 1781 [❖].

The depicted beetles were collected in Amarbajasgałant Child environs (Selenge province/Сэлэнгэ аймаг, Mongolia) on August 10, 2010.
