- A typical habitat of Ropalopus ungaricus. It is a mountainous meadow sparsely covered with maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) trees and shrubs (Central Slovakia).

- A living branch of a maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) attacked by a larva of Ropalopus ungaricus.
